About the village

Well positioned at the foot of the Monte Rosa massif Champoluc is a cozy alp village in one of the world's best ski areas. Champoluc is close to the airports in Milan and Turin. The nearby Alps are among Europe's highest at above 4,000 meters, including Punta Dufur on all 4634 meters. The area offers diverse skiing. Often you have the 180 km's of slope to yourself (almost). In the ski area, you will find not only Champoluc valley (Val d'Ayas), but also Gressoney valley (Valle di Gressoney) and Alagna valley (Valsesia). The valleys gradually increase the difficulty and in Alagna you have the opportunity to ski in some of the best off-piste terrain in the world (there are areas with lifts that are entirely dedicated to off-piste). While in the Monte Rosa area a heli-skiing trip we highly recommended and there is a wide variety of possibilities to choose from. We are proud of the Col de Lys-ride which is the highest heliski ride in Europe to 4150 meters.

You can feel the idyllic atmosphere in Champoluc when you arrive to the village. An Italian mountain village in old style, traditional cooked meals in a genuine italian way accompanied by red or white wine and ending with espresso and a grappa. The hospitality and friendliness in the village are great and it is easy to feel at home in Champoluc.
