About the company

Champoluc Adventures is a travel company that was started by friends having great passion for skiing and everything else that has to do with mountains. We all have many years experience in the Alps and particularly the Valle d'Ayas and Champoluc.

We believe that the customer should be able to affect their vacation to a greater extent and at the same time to take advantage of our knowledge and experience. This applies to everything from skiing / snowboarding, climbing and mountaineering for tips on good food and drink.

We've all been living in Champoluc for many years and know the local people and we have good cooperation with them, not only professionally but also private. We all came to Champoluc at different times and fell in  love with this little jewel and settled here.

Lars

Lars Linsjö born in 1972. Resident in Champoluc since 1996. Married with Denise from the Italian island of Sardinia (September 2009)

Lars is from the south of Sweden (Trelleborg) and came to Champoluc 1996 to make a season as "ski bum" and he directly fell in love in Monte Rosa, and the little alp comune Ayas (Champoluc) with all its personalities, bars, restaurants and of cause the skiing.

When he still lived in Sweden, he worked as a bricklayer and spent all their holiday money and free time to go skiing in the Alps, Utha and Colorado, but it was Champoluc who got him to settle in the mountains.

The first two years, Lars worked as a bartender and then he began to service skis and eventually became responsible for buying and selling.

In December 2008, Lars thought that it was time to do something else and asked his friends if they should open a travel company specializing in Italy, Champoluc.

Kenn

Kenn Aarre born 1977 From Esbjerg in Denmark.

Trained as electrician in 1998 and shortly after he did his first season in Austria as snowboard instructor and worked extra in the kitchen of a Swedish fondue restaurant.  Then he did a season in Canada for six months with good friends (Martin, Brix and Boris). The end of the season as they heard about Alagna and decides to do next winter there. But on the way to Alagna so they took the wrong valley and ended up in Ayas (Champoluc - one of the neighbouring valleys). Kenn was amazed of the fantastic Monte Rosa massif and after two years as ski bum, he decides to stay. His old ski bum friends comes and visit as often they can, to enjoy off-piste, good food and drink.

Have worked from 2002 together with Lars in the ski shop and has been responsible for ski servicing. In the summer Kenn works in Rifugio Lambronecca up on the Monte Rosa massif (3420m above sea level, just below Castor and Polux peaks).

Mike (also known as Olle)

Mikael Ohlsson was born in Narvik, Norway in 1974 but moved after three months, down to southern Sweden where he spent his youth.

Mike has tried many different occupations throughout his life. Initially, he trained as a chef and worked with it in a number of years. Has also worked at the factory and after that Mike decided for him to become a software developer and was educated at the University of Malmo. After a couple of years that he began to teach programming in the same university and have until recently been working as a teacher over internet. 2001 Micke did a season in Champoluc as tour guide and became enchanted by the charming village and returned after a few years and settled.
